Butterfly Chairs direct from Argentina....
The Tripolina or Buttefly Chair was invented by Englishman Joseph B. Fenby and patented in the USA in 1881. It was widely used in military campaigns where it was ideal because it was designed as a camping chair of great stability in the sand and also to fold up completely while still being comfortable. It was originally manufactured by the Italiano Vigano company in Tripoli, Libya. These frames are hand-crafted out of special wood from Patagonia and have high quality stainless steel fittings, quality polo leather hides are used and these are environmentally friendly vegetable tanned.
